A bunion is more than just a bump on the side of your big toe—it’s a structural change in the foot. Over time, the bones in your toe joint shift out of place, causing the big toe to lean toward the others.

This misalignment can lead to:
👣 Pain and swelling
👣 Redness and irritation
👣 Difficulty finding comfortable shoes

Bunions often develop due to genetics at times, wearing tight or ill-fitting shoes, or conditions like arthritis. The good news? With the right care, we can help manage symptoms, slow progression, and even explore treatment options to correct the issue.

Is your child experiencing foot pain? Try these simple stretches to help relieve discomfort and strengthen their feet! 👣

✨ Lunges: Keep both feet flat on the ground, gently move forward, and hold for 40-45 seconds.
Then, bend the back knee, sit back on it while keeping your heel on the ground, and hold for another 40 seconds.

✨ Calf Raises: Lift up onto the balls of their feet, hold for 3 seconds, then lower slowly over 3 seconds.

✨ Single Leg Calf Raises: Similar to calf raises, but focusing on one leg at a time. Hold for 3 seconds, lower over 3 seconds.

Encourage your child to do these stretches regularly to help reduce foot pain and improve flexibility! If the pain persists, it might be time to see us for a professional assessment. 😊
