Maria, widely known as Mav, is a Director at Podiatry Services SA, expertly managing services across disability, aged care, locums, and foot health products. With over 25 years of podiatric experience, Maria began her career at Whyalla Hospital and in rural communities. Her commitment to equitable healthcare was reinforced in 2004 when she secured a rural grant to establish a podiatry practice in underserved communities of South Australia.

Since relocating to Adelaide in 2007, Maria has excelled in various roles within domiciliary care, locum assignments, and a Workcover firm, all while successfully building her private practice. Her experience enables her to address gaps in podiatric services, ensuring comprehensive access for communities and empowering her staff to utilise their full professional capabilities.

As a board member of the Australian Podiatry Association, Maria actively contributes to risk management, compliance, and cybersecurity, while advocating for the podiatry profession at all levels.

Her dedication and diverse expertise are a testament to her unwavering commitment to improving podiatric care for the community.

In her current role at Podiatry Services SA, Tracey manages operations with a keen focus on compliance, risk management, and financial oversight. She has successfully completed the business’s NDIS accreditation and manages all aged care package contracts. Additionally, Tracey ensures that all staff and locum credentials comply with the stringent requirements set forth by the organisation.

Laura Franco

Laura serves as our NDIS Coordinator, overseeing all aspects of our NDIS services at Podiatry Services SA. Her responsibilities include managing NDIS referrals, coordinating Service Agreements, and facilitating Foot Health Product requests.

Before joining our team, Laura held a similar role within the Department of Child Protection and working across paediatric NDIS services, including Occupational and Speech Therapy. Her extensive experience and in-depth understanding of the NDIS framework have been instrumental in enhancing our service delivery. Laura has played a key role in streamlining our processes, ensuring compliance, and supporting the delivery of fair and equitable podiatry care for all NDIS participants.

In addition to her NDIS responsibilities, Laura is also our People and Culture Coordinator. She organises staff events, supports the professional development of our clinical team, and manages our presence at industry conferences through exhibitor coordination.

Lavinia is the Home Services Coordinator at Podiatry Services SA, responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of our extensive home visit service.

With a background in health administration, Lavinia has spent the past three years working in the healthcare sector while completing her Certificate III in Health Administration. She also brings valuable experience from previous roles in childcare and sports administration, contributing to her well-rounded skill set.

Lavinia’s diverse administrative experience and strong IT proficiency enable her to work seamlessly across a range of systems and platforms. She plays a key role in managing the logistics of our home visit services, including scheduling appointments, optimising travel routes for our podiatrists, and ensuring patients are seen in a timely and efficient manner. Her role requires constant communication with patients, families, and home care providers to deliver a smooth and responsive service.

In addition to scheduling, Lavinia also oversees invoicing for home care packages and manages medical documentation, ensuring compliance with privacy and healthcare regulations.

Lavinia’s exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail are essential to the success and growth of our home visit services.

Introducing Karen, our dedicated Product Inventory Coordinator with a wealth of experience in healthcare, particularly in podiatry practices.

Having served as a receptionist and practice manager, Karen excels in enhancing our Inventory Management systems.

She expertly manages product requests from our podiatrists and collaborates closely with Support at Home Coordinators to approve product funding for clinic and home visit patients.

Once approvals are obtained, Karen partners with Mav, our director, to select the most clinically suitable products for patient care, ensuring they are ready for in-clinic or home visit dispensation.

Her innovative spirit also shines in running our in-store product promotions, crafting exceptional deals for our patients.
